Custom Quarter Zips

A quarter zip is the most-requested outerwear piece we make, and the fabric decides whether it gets worn one month a year or ten. There are three families, and each suits a different team.

Performance quarter zips are lightweight poly or a poly blend — they breathe, dry fast, and pack flat, which is why they’re the standard for golf events, sales teams, and anyone here in Arizona who wants a layer for the office and the car without cooking outside. Fleece quarter zips are the warm, midweight classic: cold-morning crews, aggressively air-conditioned offices, and any team you’re shipping to a real winter. Sweatshirt quarter zips are cotton-blend fleece with a hoodie’s feel and a collar’s polish — the casual pick for retail merch, schools, and teams who want cozy over corporate.

The default is a left-chest logo, about 3 to 3.5 inches wide — slightly smaller than on a polo, because the zipper placket takes up the middle of the chest and the logo needs to sit clear of it. We offset it so it reads centered on the left panel rather than crowding the zip. That placement is what makes a quarter zip look like a piece of clothing with a logo on it instead of a uniform.

The additions that earn their keep are a sleeve mark for a second logo, a location, or a year, and a back yoke across the shoulders when you want the company name readable from behind. Names stitch cleanly on the right chest, opposite the logo, and they turn a team pullover into a personal one for about the cost of a coffee.

The blank drives the number more than anything else here. A quarter zip costs more than a polo before a single stitch goes in, and the spread between a value fleece and a premium performance brand is wide. Embroidery itself is priced by the stitch count of your logo, not by quantity, so the per-piece price stays fairly flat from 24 pieces to 240. A left-chest logo on a mid-range fleece or performance quarter zip typically lands in the $50s to $60s per piece all in; premium brands run $70 and up.

Digitizing is included when you order through a company store or place a bulk order that meets our minimums — and if we already have your logo on file from your polos or hats, there’s nothing to set up at all. Outside that it’s a one-time charge we quote up front. When you compare quotes, add the other shop’s setup fee back in first.

A one-time embroidery run starts at 24 pieces. Most orders run about two to three weeks from the approved mockup, and outerwear is where stock matters most — popular colors sell through in the fall, so if you’re planning for a holiday gift or a season opener, tell us the date early and we’ll check stock before you commit.
