This sounds like a small thing and it isn't. Anyone working outdoors in Phoenix from May to September should not be in 100% cotton — it absorbs sweat and holds it, which stops the evaporation that keeps a body cool. Poly and poly-cotton performance blends wick and dry, and they're what we recommend for any outdoor crew.

There's a decoration consequence too: screen printing onto polyester can suffer dye migration, where the shirt's dye creeps into the ink and discolors it. It's solvable with low-cure inks and a blocker, and embroidery or DTF sidesteps it entirely. We'll flag it when it applies rather than letting you find out a month later.
